Dreaming Big

Thank you, Hybi Eden M.L.A. Thank you for gifting Sree Rama Varma Departmental Upper Primary School a Smart Classroom.

Now that you have given us this facility, I should make effective use of this gift. A friend of mine, Justine Payyippilly told me about Schools Online Program by British Council. Justine sent me a link to his blog, showing his school's connected learning adventure. On connecting with Justine, I came to know of Wiki Facilitator Sebastian Panakal.

On deeper search, I came to know of Learn English Online program Sebastian has launched in schools.

If he can help ten year old students Learn English Online, he may help Sree Rama Varma School as well. I invited him for a meeting.

Sebastian also helps to globalize schools; he helps schools at School Exchange program by British Council. I discussed this with the Parent Teachers' Association and invited Sebastian to give us a demonstration.

He connected me to Anne Mirtschin in Australia (Teachers/Parents/Students, please click and read how mutual support at connected learning is given me by Anne in her blog post.). Anne is a global educator; her school is in a remote village in Australia. She told me about connected learning that helps her students learn globally, from the village. She recommended that all schools should adopt technology and help students become digital citizens in this globalized world.

At that discussion, Sebastian Panakal showed Coconut Shell produce by Gipin Reji of our school, to Anne Mirtschin and her students at Hawksdale College, Australia. Gipin is eager to export his produce, as he goes on his e-Learning Journey, meeting people all over the world and Learning English Online. Gipin and team has already created their School Website to detail their learning through the school's website. They will shortly make our School Wiki, personal blog, YouTube Channel etc. to ensure they have enough digital footprints to show to their clients, customers and employers as they go out to real world and meet life's challenges head on.
